How Data Recovery Works

A straightforward process from the moment you contact us to the moment your files are returned.

  1. 1

    Case Submission / Initial Contact

You contact us — by phone, WhatsApp, or the case form — and describe what happened to the device. This first conversation helps us advise on next steps, including how to package and send the device if it's coming from outside Lahore.

  2. 2

    Device Intake

The device is logged as a recovery case when it arrives at our lab, whether couriered or brought in directly.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis

We inspect the device and determine the cause and extent of the failure — mechanical, electronic, firmware or logical — before any recovery attempt begins.

  4. 4

    Recovery Plan / Quotation

Once the cause is understood, we explain what recovery is likely to involve and confirm cost and next steps with you directly before proceeding.

  5. 5

    Recovery Work

Our engineers carry out the recovery procedure appropriate to the specific failure — mechanical or electronic work in a controlled environment, firmware-level work, controlled imaging, or array reconstruction, depending on the case.

  6. 6

    File Verification

Where applicable, recovered files are checked for integrity before handover, so you know what was retrieved before you receive it.

  7. 7

    Data Return

Recovered files are returned to you on an agreed destination drive.

  8. 8

    Original Device Handling

The original device is returned or held as agreed with you. As noted in our data recovery disclaimer, our focus is retrieving your data — a device that has suffered a hardware failure shouldn't be expected to return to dependable long-term service afterward.

What Affects Recovery Time

There's no single timeline that applies to every case — how long recovery takes depends on factors specific to the device and the failure:

  • The physical condition of the device
  • The type of failure — mechanical, electronic, firmware or logical
  • Whether compatible donor parts are needed
  • How stable the drive is to image — a failing drive can require slower, more careful imaging
  • For RAID and NAS cases, the complexity of the array and how many members are involved
  • The total volume of data being recovered

Note: Diagnosis timelines and any associated costs are confirmed with you directly once your device has been assessed — we don't quote a fixed turnaround in advance, since it depends on what diagnosis finds. Recovery outcomes also depend on the condition of the individual device and can't be guaranteed before that assessment.
