Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These terms govern your use of DiskAnalyst’s data recovery services and this website. By submitting a device or case to us, you agree to these terms.
Service Scope
DiskAnalyst provides diagnosis and data recovery services for hard drives, SSDs, RAID arrays, NAS devices, USB drives and memory cards. We are a data recovery service, not a general computer or device repair service.
Diagnosis & Quotation
Every device is diagnosed before any recovery work begins. Once diagnosis is complete, we explain what recovery is likely to involve and confirm cost and next steps with you directly. Recovery work proceeds only once you’ve authorized it following that quotation.
No Guarantee of Recovery
Data recovery outcomes depend on the condition of the individual device and cannot be guaranteed in advance. Recovery may be partial, and in some cases diagnosis may show that recovery is not practical or possible. See our Data Recovery Disclaimer for more detail on what affects recoverability.
Focus on Data, Not Device Repair
Our service is intended to retrieve your data, not to restore a failed device to dependable long-term service. A device that has suffered a hardware failure should not be expected to return to normal everyday use after the recovery process, even where data is successfully recovered.
Your Responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the device and data you submit, or are otherwise authorized to submit it for recovery.
- You provide accurate information about the device and its history to the best of your knowledge, including any prior recovery software, repair attempts, or work by another provider — this materially affects diagnosis and outcome.
Donor Components
Where a mechanical repair requires a compatible donor component, its use is at our discretion based on availability and suitability. Use of a donor component does not guarantee a successful recovery.
Turnaround Time
Any turnaround estimate we give you is an estimate, not a guarantee — actual time depends on device condition, failure type, parts availability, imaging stability, array complexity and data volume.
Fees & Payment
Cost is confirmed with you after diagnosis and before recovery work begins. Payment terms are agreed directly with you for each case.
Data Return
Recovered data is returned to you on an agreed destination drive or method, as arranged for your case.
Uncollected Devices or Data
Where a device or recovered data isn’t collected within a reasonable period after we’ve notified you it’s ready, we’ll discuss arrangements with you on a case-by-case basis.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a recovery case is limited to the fees paid for that case. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the device’s failure or from the recovery process itself.
Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as power outages, courier or shipping delays, or similar events.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
